💡 What is EFT — and why does it work?
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques — also called tapping.
It’s a gentle yet powerful method that helps you calm the nervous system, release emotional stress, and literally rewire your brain.
You tap on specific acupressure points on your face and upper body while focusing on a thought, feeling or limiting believe, and saying it out loud. This sends a calming signal to your amygdala — the part of the brain responsible for the stress response.
Research shows that EFT:
Lowers cortisol (your main stress hormone)
Helps create new neural pathways, aka, new thought patterns
Activates the parasympathetic nervous system (your rest & restore mode)
Leads to lasting shifts in beliefs and behaviour
In other words:
You can think differently, feel differently, and respond differently, not just once, but for good.
And yes, it’s evidence-based.
There are now over 100 peer-reviewed studies supporting EFT’s effectiveness in reducing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and improving performance, focus, and overall well-being.

Who am I?
Hi, I’m Evelien, a teacher, a certified EFT/tapping coach, a professional optimist, happily dyslexic, a fierce ally in your battle with the inner saboteur, and (these days) a mum.
I’m also the founder of Rainbow Black Academy, and I come from a background in fashion and creative entrepreneurship. I see possibility everywhere. I’m creative and practical; driven and sincere; soft and strong. A natural experimenter. A maker. Someone who’s learned how to shift what isn’t working, and support others in doing the same.
Most of my work, my newsletters, programs, and sessions, are in Dutch but I also work with international creatives, and I love it.
